This is a full time registered professional service. Micheál is fully committed and invested to his clients and is not employed in any other capacity.

  • For all clients initial consultation is €120. Subsequent visits if requested are at a cost of €80.

    Testing services would require a separate quote.

    It is policy and best practice to determine testing requirements based on meeting.

    For adult guidance, where Saville assessments are specifically requested a quote can be offered in advance of consultation.

  • I work with late year, primary school ,second-level students , third-level students, and adults of all ages. Parents are an essential part of the process and welcome to be involved with students. I also work independently with parents (eg) school choice, international relocation, support tuition options.

  • Educational testing assesses areas such as verbal reasoning, numerical ability and learning strengths. These assessments can support students in subject choice academic support requirements

  • Aptitude testing measures natural abilities and strengths that can indicate suitability for certain types of study or careers. It is particularly helpful when individuals are unsure about direction or are considering a change. It can also be used as part of an Adult Guidance service.

  • Personality assessment helps identify work style, preferences and interpersonal strengths. When combined with aptitude and educational testing, it provides a more complete picture to support career and education decisions

  • I am a qualified Career guidance counsellor. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, TU Dublin and University of Limerick. I am a registered member of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors. I am an accredited tester in Advanced Education testing, Occupational Aptitude and Personality with the British Psychological Society.

  • The process usually involves an initial consultation, appropriate assessments where relevant, and a detailed feedback and guidance session. The exact structure depends on the individual and the service selected.

  • Clients pay after the initial meeting and not in advance. Payment is preferred by card. All debit and credit cards are accepted.

  • The service operates from Monday to Saturday. Weekday evenings are available and Saturday mornings. The service is open over school Mid Term.

  • Career Guidance Cork is based in Emmet Place. Kinsale, Cork and serves students and adults from Cork city and surrounding areas. Services may be offered in person or remotely, depending on the service.
